Well, now that I have your attention with the title, what does this have to do with the Blue Angels?  The first is that they will be doing their last air show of 2014 out at Pensacola Naval Air Station this coming weekend.  So a word to the wise, if you are planning on going, you had better leave early and plan to stay late to avoid the 75,000 other people that plan on going out to NAS for the show.  The second thing is that this photo has nothing to do with the Blue Angels, but on the other hand it has everything to do with them.  If the Wright Brothers had not bothered building this contraption and hauling it from Ohio to the beach in North Carolina, you would not be enjoying watching the Blues out at NAS this weekend.  It is hard to imagine that this flight would lead to where we are today.  No, I was not there to record this image … I saw it in a museum and took a photo of it and then layered a texture over the image and then ran it through one of the Lucis Art Filters to give it a soft -dreamy look.  Notice how the pilot is laying down and not even sitting up-right.  This flight occurred in 1903 at Kitty Hawk North Carolina and I believe it was in December.  OK … that is your history lesson for today.  As usual, all comments are welcomed and appreciated … Thanks again for looking and please check back … Frank
