Pensacola Beach Images …

with 2 comments

These photos are ones that I took out at Pensacola Beach from earlier this year.  I want to say that all were taken from the Pier out on the beach.  All have been posted on my Instagram account and several have been enhanced with a program called Plotagraph which adds motion to a still image.  In the image above, I was able to add motion to the waves so that they roll in and then recede. I will try to add several here in the next few days, but in the meantime here are some surfing photos …

And finally one I titled ” Heading In “…

I have been posting mostly to my Instagram account over the past few months, but I have not totally given up on my blog and I plan to get back into regularly posting to my two blogs shortly.  You can find me on Instagram at @frankhardyphoto or you can go to the search panel and just type in Frank Hardy Photography.  Thanks for looking and if you have any questions or comments, please let me hear them.

Cheerleaders _10x10_RTP_6 April 16 _ SFW

Here are some photos that I took at a basketball game at Pensacola Catholic High School back in the late 1970’s.  The boys and girls basketball teams played Pensacola High School this night.  I cannot remember who won, but it was a good two games.  I thought that I would just start it off with one of the CHS cheerleaders and I will move on the the basketball games next.  Since I cannot remember anything about either game, I will omit the running commentary and just post the photos.  I will start with the girls and then post a few of the boys.  Enjoy …

There are other negatives in the envelope that I might clean-up and post later.  If anyone has any clue who any of the players are, please feel free to comment.  I want to say that these games were played in 1979, but I am probably wrong.  Thanks for looking and please check back … Frank

A Few More CHS Football Photos From 1977 …

CHS Football Team 2 _ 7x5_ RTP _ SFW

The other team photo that I posted earlier might have been the Junior Varsity team after looking at the guys in this photo.  The guys sitting in this photo sure do not look like 9th graders, especially numbers 44 and 75, or either they spent four or five years in the 6th grade.  I have another photo of the quarterback taking a snap from center that I have ready, but I have been busy with other things over the last two weeks and have not spent any time on the blogs.  I have a lot to scan that I think you will enjoy seeing, so please check back.  Here is the photo I mentioned earlier …

CHS Football 1 _ 5x5_RTP _ SFW

These guys look familiar and I am sure that someone out there will identify them and also the guys in the group.  One thing that I have done recently is tie my two blogs in with Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram.  I knew you could do it, but I never really took the time with any of them until the past several months.   I realized how many more people I could hopefully reach if I did.  There are a lot more people that I want to come in contact with and I hope these other areas will attract them … I have never bothered with Facebook and still do not have a Frank Hardy Photography Facebook page, but I think that I am going to break down and create one in the future.  If anyone out there has any suggestions and tips, I am all ears.  If you run across these posts on any of those platforms that would not have run across my blog sites, I am interested in hearing from you.  Thanks again for looking and please check back … Frank

Just A Few More From The Game Against Rutherford …

IMG_5861 Table 1 _ SFW

This is one of the girls selling corsages for homecoming in several weeks … I believe it is on the weekend of October 18 & 19.  I also want to say it is sponsored by the dance team.  If I am wrong on either of these two items, please let me know and I will correct the info.  Like I have always said … I just take them, I don’t explain them,  but I do want to give credit where credit is due.  Next are several of the CHS defense taking one of the Rutherford runners down.  The first is just adjusted and the second is the same image run through the Lucis Art Filter …

Here is another field goal …

IMG_5916 The Kick 2 _ RTP _ 10_4_13 SFW

The last is one showing CHS defense knocking the ball out of a Rutherford player’s grasp.  I do not know if CHS recovered the fumble or not, but I thought that it must have been some hit for the ball to fly up in air like it did …

OK … That should be about all from this game that I will post on this blog.  I am surprised that I was able to get three posts from this one game, but every time I went into this folder, images just keep popping up that seemed interesting.  All comments are appreciated and thanks for looking … Frank

One more thing, I have put all of the photos from the game over on my Zenfolio site.  Here is a link for you to click on .   Once you are on the page, just scroll down until you see the image of the students in the stands.  Click on the photo and it will open up the folder for you to look at the images that are there.  Contact me personally if there is something  special that you are interested in … a composite, a poster size print.  The photos from Homecoming and other events in the school year that I  photograph will be posted here for you to view and purchase if you choose.  Thanks again for looking and feel free to contact me if you have any questions ,,, Frank

Pensacola CHS Homecoming 2013 …

Here are a handful of photos from the Pep Rally on Friday at school in the gym, to the football game at LeBeau-Gorecki Stadium Friday night ( congratulations on the win Coach Seibert and team ) and the Walk-Out of the Homecoming Court at half-time.  I am not going to try to identify or explain any of these images, since everyone already knows everyone involved … and besides, as Jack Benny used say – I just tell’em, I don’t explain’em.  Enjoy …

OK, that gives you an idea of the homecoming festivities so far.  These are just a few … I have made hundreds of images so far and it is going to take me a while to process these … they do not look like these out of the camera.  I have a site on Zenfolio where I am going to post all of them for everyone to view.  If anyone wants to purchase any, you can do so through this site, but it is all pretty self-explanatory.  Thanks again for looking and as usual, all comments are appreciated.  Please check back for more … I am going to the dance tonight and take some at walk-out … Frank

Pensacola Catholic High School Football Game on September 28, 2012 …

This past Friday night, September 28, Pensacola Catholic High School played Navarre and suffered their first loss of the year.  At halftime, the CHS Baseball team received their 2012 Championship Rings … So I went to take some photos of the ceremony and since I was there, made some photos of the game.  I never have professed to be a sport’s photographer … you have to be really lucky and you have to be in the right place at the right time.  Never seeming to be lucky and hardly ever am I at the right place at the right time, I feel that some of these football ball shots are not too bad.  I know that Sports Illustrated will never be calling, but I still enjoy capturing the action.  As usual, I do not know the players involved, well I do know that the quarterback is Cody Henry, but that is basically it, so I apologize in advance for not knowing the names of the runners or receivers.   I hope you enjoy a few of these …

It is hard to believe that CHS was held scoreless in this game against Navarre High School with action like this.  I hope you enjoyed the few that I posted here … now the Championship Ring Ceremony at half-time.  First up is Sister at the microphone and then Coach LaBounty offering a few words …

I thought that I would include one of just the table with the rings and the Florida State High School 4A Sport Trophy ( I am not sure of the exact title of the trophy, so I just called it that ).  The the players and their rings …

This is Coach LaBounty’s son Drew showing off his Championship Ring.  I hope that Drew does not mind me posting this photo … It is not everyday that you have a ” State Champion ” in your presence.  The whole team is just a great group of “Winners” and the entire coaching staff at Pensacola Catholic High School sure does an outstanding job with all of the kids that play all sports at CHS along with the Baseball Coaches.

Well, that is it for now.  I hope everyone enjoys this post … it is sort of different for me.  Usually I just put up one or two photos and write a few words just so I keep my name out there in the public eye.  If anyone has any comments, please feel free to post them … I am interested in what people think and have to say. Oh yea, if anyone knows someone at Sports Illustrated, please give them a “heads-up” to let them know what they are missing down here in the panhandle of Florida.  Thanks for looking … Frank
