Back on June 1st, Scott Brown had a book signing at Barnes and Noble.  Here is a link to the Amazon site.

Here is Scott and his lovely wife.  The link above takes you to the Amazon site where you can read a section of his book.  The section that is chosen for you to read tells about my father and I being out in Los Angeles.  We had gone to see the Angeles play in Chavez Ravine and Bo Belinsky was in the outfield warming up.  My father held up a photo he had made of Belinsky as a Pensacola Don and got him to autograph the photo.  Scott obviously does a better job of relating the story, so please click on the link and enjoy yourself.  The book goes along with the video made by WSRE on Baseball History in Pensacola.  This video is much better than anything Ken Burns has produced and that is my own personal opinion.  Here are several more photos from that day …

Even Kazoo got into the act and you can tell by the smile on this little one’s face that everyone had a good time!  It is good to see everyone turning out and supporting such a great project such as this book and also the video.  I believe that you can go to WSRE’s web site and purchase a copy of the video.  I hope Scott does not stop with this project because he is such an excellent writer.  Let us hear from you and thanks for looking … please check back … Frank

    • Thanks for the comment and please check back. If you have any photography related questions, please ask and I will be happy to help if I can. I do not profess to know it all, but after forty years, I can answer a thing or two … Frank

PS – Scott’s book is an excellent read, also. He has put in a lot of time researching the history of baseball in Pensacola and it is an interesting and entertaining read. You do know that his book compliments the video that WSRE made about Pensacola baseball. It is well worth your time to check out the video if you have any interest in baseball history … Frank
