Congratulations to all of the graduates from Pensacola Catholic High School of 2013! Below are just a few random views from the graduation itself. I have other photos from the Baccalaureate Mass on Friday night that I will post later, along with some more from the graduation. Enjoy …
Here is one of some girls as they arrive …
One of the graduates entering the auditorium / church at Olive Baptist where the graduation is held …
He is Bishop Parkes at the podium ….
Now the caps being thrown into the air …
A candid of the girls waiting to exit …
I will post some others later because of all the photos that I made. There are so many that I will most likely put them over on my Zenfolio site for you to look at and enjoy. Thanks again for looking and if anyone has any questions or comments, please contact me. I also have photos from out-takes from their yearbook, Charisma , that I plan to post since the yearbook is out and I cannot spoil any surprises , so please check back. Relay For Life In Pensacola 2013 …
I helped my friend Bud Lovoy this past Friday evening with the Relay For Life Walk over in Pensacola at Washington High School. All I did this past year was help Bud get the groups together to be photographed, so I did not take my camera. These were made with my iPhone and then worked up in Photoshop. This is probably the ninth or tenth of these that I have helped Bud with and it has really grown from when I started helping Bud with these. Here are a few more ..
One of the Maguire’s Band … I do not know about you, but I could listen to these guys play the bagpipes for hours. Well, I do not know about hours, but I really enjoy the sound that these bagpipes make.
Here is one once they light the luminaries … you can see “hope” spelled out on the bleachers way in the background. This is not too bad of a photo for an iPhone in low light. You get the idea of how the track looked once they cut off the stadium lights. It was nice talking to a lot of people that I only seem to see once a year at this event. Thanks for for looking … Frank
Valentino _ RIP …
Today is Rudolph Valentino’s birthday. My father had made a photo of his crypt at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery and I had posted it on his blog a while back. It received a lot of hits and a few comments, so I decided to post it here …
The one above is the one that my father had taken on a trip to Los Angeles back in the 1950’s to visit his sister. Below is a color image that I found of Wikipedia …
Here is a link to his Wikipedia site.
The guy led an interesting life and his Wikipedia site is an interesting read … I might have to find a biography of his to read. There is a rumor that a woman dressed in black would show up at his crypt on his birthday and leave a single red rose. She was never identified and to this day still remains a mystery. Thanks again for looking and if you have happened to have visited his crypt out at Hollywood Forever Cemetery, please let us hear from you … Frank
A Few More Wedding Photos …
Here are a few more from the last wedding that I forgot to post. Nothing in particular … just some that I had worked up and had them in a different folder. I hope you enjoy:
I had posted the bride and the girls earlier and forgot the groom’s side …
One thing I rarely do is take photos of people walking … unless I am asked to. It always surprises me how many people see me standing there with a camera and will not look at me , they just keep staring straight ahead. Out of 12 or 14 people / couples that walked by me, this bridesmaid and maybe two other people actually looked at me and smiled …
What a difference a smile makes!! I should have posted a few of the others, but I am not here to embarrass anyone … however several looked like they were walking to the gallows. One from the ceremony …
Now, no better way to finish a post but with a group of pretty girls dancing and having fun …
That, I promise, is all. Thanks for looking and feel free to comment. Please check back …
Cap and Gown Photographs For CHS Grads 2013 …
This is an example from last year of a cap and gown portrait that I will be taking before the Catholic High School’s Baccalaureate on May 17, 2013. Most of you by now should have received the information card in the mail. It is a head and shoulder portrait … I do not show any previews and I pick the best expression. For those of you who might want something more, I have included these examples of a senior that I made several weeks ago at his home …
Here is a closer view of each …
I just thought that I would give you some idea of how I photograph and display other examples of my work. If you have any questions about any of these, please call me at 850-449-1279 or you can email me through this site. There are more photographs over at www.FrankHardy.Zenfolio.com from Hall of Fame and this years Homecoming events. Thanks again … Frank
2013 Pensacola Catholic High School Group …
Congratulations to the 2013 Senior Class at Pensacola Catholic High School ! I know that they are excited and their parent’s are very proud of them. They are really lucky to have parents that supported them mentally, spiritually and financially for the past eighteen years or so. Thanks for letting me be a very small part of it … Frank
Wedding Photographs …
These photographs are from a wedding that I helped my good friend and fellow photographer Bud Lovoy photograph this past weekend out at Scenic Hills Country Club. The bride’s family hired Bud, but I tagged along to carry his bags and decided to take a couple of photos, also. The first one is what it looks like out of the camera and the second one is what I end up with after I have worked my magic in Photoshop. Here we go …
Not too good, huh. Looks like a lot of the other photos I see on photographer’s blogs and such. Not after a few waves of the magic ” Photoshop Wand ” …
How many of you out there can tell a difference? Only one or two? Come on … there has to be more than that. Here are some more and I am going to leave out the cheezy comments …
I can never really understand why so many photographers will post 30 or 40, some even 60 or more photos, on their blogs and most are so repetitive that half or more could have been edited out! I think you get the whole idea with a few images that this bride and groom had a great deal of fun and the wedding itself was FIRST CLASS without having to wade through 80 images to get the jest of everything. Thanks again to Bud for letting me carry his camera bag and the bride and groom’s parent’s for throwing a great party … I am going to leave you with this last one. If it does not leave you with a smile on your face … there is something wrong! Thanks again for looking and let me hear what you think … Frank
THE END ………
