This is one more example of the pencil sketch technique that you can do in Photoshop.  The photo was made in Louisiana.  All comments and questions are welcomed … thanks for looking!

Summertime on Pensacola Beach …

This is a photograph that I made several years ago that I just recently turned into a pencil sketch in Photoshop.  I think that this type of photo lends itself very well to this Photoshop technique … if anyone has any questions or comments about this or anything else you have seen on this blog, please do not hesitate to ask.  I have one more using this technique that I am going to post next.  Thanks for looking …

Another Aerial of Pensacola …

Not exactly sure when I made this aerial of downtown Pensacola, but in the foreground is Joe Patti Seafood and further to the east is the property that the new ballpark is built on.  I posted some aerials in an earlier post that were looking sout and north, but this is the on;y one that I have run across that faces east.  I am not sure of the exact year, but the Municipal Auditorium is still at the end of Palafox Street and way off in the distance on Scenic Highway, the Scenic Terrace Condos down by the Angus have not been built yet.  So some enterprising individual can do some research and see when those condos where built and find out when the Auditorium was torn down, you would have a rough idea when I made this photo.  Thanks for looking …

Several Aerials of Downtown Pensacola …

I made these back in the around 1980 … the new ball park is built on the land across from the sewage plant.  One more from the south looking north …

The News Journal reported this week that it took 20 million dollars to get this site prepared to build the ball park … the ball park cost 18 million dollars to construct … I guess the 16 million or so dollars left goes for landscaping.  Enjoy!!

Hemisphere Globe …

This globe / hemisphere represented the 1964 World’s Fair in New York City which my father and I attended when we went to the Professional Photographer’s Association National Convention.  My dad bought me this globe as a souvenir.  I have thought about doing something with it for the last 45 years and finally did so several weeks back.  Several more variations …

Let me know what you think … If anyone wants to share any of their memories from the ’64 World’s Fair, please let us hear them.  This was also the first place that Disney displayed ” It’s A Small, Small World ” … the first of many times to ride it, if you have kids you know what I mean.  Thanks for looking …
