Beach Portraits …

I made these photographs of this little girl a while back and I have been working on them lately to create a soft, pastel look.  I made them on a cold January day several years ago.  At the time I made them, they did not do much for me.  I was there to make a photo of her with her mother and her sister.  I just took a few of her by herself at the end and filed them away.  After looking at them for some time, I got to thinking they work better if  I desaturated the image some and then try to make them look like old Kodachrome transparency film.  The flesh tones have that quality of Kodachrome 25, but the beach, water and sky look sort of too bright … then I got to thinking that I did not want them to look too “washed out”, so I just left them like they are.  What do you think?  Let me hear your comments … thanks for looking. Frank
