These two images are from our trip out to north California back in 2000.  I must have shot 20 rolls of 120 and a handful of  35mm b&w over the course of a week.  This was several years before I went digital, so all these images have been scanned by me and worked up in Photoshop.  The top image was just the sign somewhere along the route.  The bottom one was made out at Pebble Beach along the 17 mile drive.  When we showed up at this spot it was just Pam and I.  Then three tour buses pulled up and out got several hundred Japanese … very nice, but all they did was take a photo and got back on the buses and left.  I bet they were not there 10 minutes.  I will have to share a story about some Japanese tourists / photographers over  in New Orleans at Mardi Gras in another post … I call it one of the shots that got away!  Thanks for looking …
